Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a System Safety Engineering Manager (Level K) to lead the BGS-G Safety Engineering Team in a 100% onsite role across multiple U.S. locations including Berkeley, MO and other California sites.

This leadership position focuses on delivering comprehensive system safety capabilities for the BGS government portfolio, with exposure to major defense platforms and fleet sustainment initiatives.

Qualifications

• One year or more in a leadership role OR completed Boeing’s Exploring Leadership course.
• BS degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (incl. Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent related to the work statement.
• Experience performing system safety tasks in accordance with MIL-STD-882, SAE ARP4761, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in Systems Engineering.
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct report personnel.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
• Manages, develops, and motivates employees.
