Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a System Safety Engineer to act as a senior subject matter expert in safety requirements and hazard analysis. You will evaluate hardware and software to ensure mission success, develop hazard analyses, and lead safety reviews across programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in system safety engineering and hazard analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update PHL, PHA, FHAs, SHAs and SARs.
• Prepare presentations and participate in Design Reviews and safety meetings.
• Support System Safety documents for Customer, Range Safety and contractual requirements.
• Review test procedures for System Safety compliance.
• Coordinate with test range safety teams and write range safety reports.
• Maintain Hazard Tracking System (HTS) with hazards and mitigations.
• Support IRAD/Capture activities.
• Possibly assist in software safety activities.
• Provide clear safety leadership and status updates to customers/program.
