Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Denver seeks a Range Safety/FAA Coordinator for System Safety Engineering. You will manage safety requirements, coordinate waivers, support mission integration, and assist with FAA licensing across programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 8+ years of experience, leadership, independent work, schedule discipline, and travel up to 25%. DoD security clearance is required. ULA offers strong pay, 401(k) matching, annual bonus, generous PTO and a 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 8+ years of related experience (Masters degree substitutes for 2 years).
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects to successful completion.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and maintain schedule adherence for assigned work scope.
• Demonstrated teamwork/interpersonal skills.
• Limited domestic travel may be required (up to 25%).
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Range Safety/FAA Coordinator for System Safety Engineering focusing on safety requirements management.
• Waiver/ELS and Requirement Tailoring Coordinator; Mission Integration Support; FAA Licensing Support.
• Focal support of FTSR/RSSR deliverables for programs and upgrades, including component updates.
• Reviews vehicle system specifications and safety, facilities, and operations to establish safety requirements and assessments.
• Performs independent assessments and recommends improvements to design/operations to control hazards.
• Prepares safety documents to support ULA, Air Force, Range Safety, FAA, NASA, NRO, and Commercial customers.
• Performs audits of operational areas and reports effectiveness of the safety program.
• Participates in accident investigations and identifies corrective actions.
• Evaluates interrelationship of system safety requirements with development requirements.
