Job summary

Prattwhitney is hiring a Senior System Safety Engineer in El Segundo, CA, responsible for developing and implementing system safety programs compliant with MIL-STD-882E. You will collaborate with teams across engineering, perform hazard analyses, and ensure safety optimizations at every phase.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant prior experience.
• Experience with System & Software Safety Engineering.
• Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs.
• Coordinate with customer safety representatives to ensure safety approval.
• Perform System Safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses.
