The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking a Senior System Realization and Resilience Engineer to guide the design, development, and evaluation of strategic weapons systems, applying MBSE and digital engineering to ensure credibility and resilience across programs.
You will lead cross‑disciplinary teams, deliver formal analyses and presentations, and coordinate with sponsors and government partners, with required security clearances and willingness to travel.

If so, we are looking for someone like you to join the System Realization and Resilience Group (KBR) within the Force Projection Sector. Our team is responsible for enabling the realization of strategic systems, ensuring resilience and specialty disciplines are integrated throughout system development, and supporting credible verification of strategic weapon systems. We lead efforts in systems engineering, system security engineering, test and integration, digital engineering, nuclear command and control, and reliability engineering. As a member of our team, you will provide systems engineering expertise to inform the technical direction of existing and future strategic weapons systems. We are passionate about making critical contributions to these critically important programs, and you will be a key part of our success. With your help, we will remain at the forefront of ensuring the credibility of our nation\'s strategic weapon systems.
As a Senior System Realization and Resilience Engineer, you will contribute to and lead aspects of the engineering effort across projects, studies, and technical working groups focused on requirements development, analysis, concept/technology development, acquisition, test planning and execution, system evaluation, and risk assessments across the program lifecycle. You will apply system engineering methodologies and analyses such as model based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering (DE) to enable the development of strategic weapon systems. You will deliver formal presentations and reports to codify technical recommendations and solutions to sponsors and stakeholders, and effectively communicate proposed concepts and analysis results.

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL\'s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development.
