Job summary

Akina, Inc is seeking a senior system/software integrator and systems engineer for a role based in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The position requires TS/SCI with a polygraph and 12+ years of related experience, working on Linux/Windows environments, and leading software integration efforts.

The incumbent will perform system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installations, and field testing, while developing documentation and providing Tier 3 support.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years of experience as a software integrator, tester, system administrator, or systems engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required.
• Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience; alternative experience replacement options.
• Salary Range: $184k-$226k annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, test, integration, and configuration.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain OS and software on Linux and Windows.
• Develop environment for hardware/software builds, staging, testing, and integration.
• Provide Tier 3 support for system failures and problem resolution.
• Lead software integration and testing efforts.
• Monitor system performance and security; assess impact, risk and architecture changes.
• Prepare technical documentation for installations, sustainment, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers.
• Analyze and resolve complex system and integration problems.
• Serve as technical lead for software integration and testing.
• Ensure QA of software integration test processes and products.
