Job summary

System One is seeking a System Design Engineer for Sodium Cover Gas Systems. This long-term contract role is remote–offsite with compensation $69.00–$115.00 per hour.

The engineer will design fluid systems from requirements to commissioning, collaborate across disciplines, and oversee supplier development for gas processing equipment. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering with 10+ years of direct experience, familiarity with ASME BPVC, API, and piping design,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years direct experience with proven mechanical systems skills.
• Experience reading and drawing P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Design fluid systems from requirements through commissioning.
• Conduct trade studies to refine system design.
• Oversee suppliers during development, fabrication, and testing of gas processing equipment.
• Review component designs to optimize system impact.
• Prepare system design documentation and specifications.
• Coordinate drawings, reports, and interface documents.
• Develop and manage P&ID packages and 3D models.
