Job summary
System One is seeking an experienced System Design Engineer to support the design, fabrication, testing, and integration of an electromagnetic (EM) pump for an advanced nuclear energy project. This role requires technical ownership of a submersible EM pump operating within a liquid-sodium processing system and coordination with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and testing personnel.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of EM pump experience, strong COMSOL/MATLAB proficiency, and a deep
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
- 10+ years direct experience with electromagnetic pumps.
- Experience with thermodynamics, magnetohydrodynamics, fluids, heat transfer and materials.
Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of EM Pump design and development.
- Take ownership and oversight of submersible electromagnetic pump design, fabrication and operation.
- Develop understanding of thermohydraulic and magnetohydrodynamic design aspects.
- Support integration into processing system models (Aspen HYSYS Plus).
- Interface with multiple disciplines to define system design and performance criteria.
