Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Principal System Application Engineer to drive system-level power solutions for AI datacenter applications. You will lead end-to-end development of DC/DC converters and high-density power architectures, coordinating with customers and internal teams to deliver innovative, efficient energy solutions.

You will prototype advanced DC/DC approaches using GaN/SiC, perform market research and teardowns, and create compelling technical collateral.

Qualifications

• Lead end-to-end development of isolated/non-isolated DC/DC power converters.
• Define and optimize converter topologies and select power semiconductors.
• Design digital & analog controllers and gate drivers for robust power management.
• Use industry-standard simulation and PCB design tools; create clear documentation.
• Ensure safety and EMI compliance; drive verification and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Execute the system solution roadmap for AI datacenter solutions.
• Lead design and validation of power electronics for AI accelerators.
• Prototype DC/DC conversion approaches with GaN/SiC and HV‑IBC architectures.
• Define system architectures for server power supplies and perform teardowns.
• Create application notes and system-level collateral; support customers.
