We are seeking an experienced professional to support and enhance our Vulnerability Management governance program. This role will be responsible for contributing to the full lifecycle of vulnerability governance activities, including monitoring, assessment, and oversight. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in identifying potential security threats, reducing enterprise risk, and driving effective remediation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the end-to-end vulnerability governance lifecycle, including continuous monitoring, assessment, and oversight of the Vulnerability Management process.
• Analyze business units to identify areas that may introduce potential risks or security threats to the organization.
• Conduct risk assessments and apply data-driven analysis to monitor and manage information security processes.
• Oversee and track remediation efforts to ensure timely and effective resolution of identified vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address security incidents linked to known vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience analyzing system, network, and application data to detect and evaluate security vulnerabilities.
• Skilled in risk evaluation and prioritization of vulnerabilities, with the ability to guide teams in implementing mitigation strategies.
• Proficient in researching emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices for vulnerability management.
• Capable of delivering clear reports and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Experience responding to and coordinating the resolution of vulnerability-related security incidents.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management and assessment.
• Strong understanding of common security threats and vulnerabilities (e.g., buffer overflows, cross-site scripting, SQL injection, race conditions, malicious code).
• Familiarity with the structure and behavior of network attacks and their correlation to vulnerabilities.
• Experience with industry-standard vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Wiz, Tenable, NexusIQ).
• Solid understanding of threat intelligence sources (e.g., CISA, Kenna).
• Knowledge of network security architecture including protocols, topologies, and traffic flow.
• Understanding of application-layer vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
• Working knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) is preferred.

Preferred Certifications

• CISA, CRISC, CIA, CISM, CISSP (any are considered a plus)
