Job summary

Vibrint is seeking a Senior System Administrator in Lehi, UT, to support high‑end HPC environments on a national security program. You will manage multi‑vendor HPC servers and clusters, ensure system reliability, and collaborate with leading engineers on mission‑critical analytics.

The position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph and US citizenship. Candidates should have a technical degree, 10+ years of experience, and DoD 8570 IAT II certification to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of system administration experience (15+ years in lieu of degree).
  • DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification and resolution.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform capacity analysis and planning.
  • Configure and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems; maintain IT system integrity.

Job description

By joining this particular High Performance Computing (HPC) prime contract, you'll help maintain and advance the computing infrastructure that powers unprecedented mission-critical analysis, scientific discovery, and scalable national security outcomes.

As a Sr. System Administrator on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. You'll have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise alongside highly skilled engineers, collaborate with exceptional teammates, and directly contribute to missions that strengthen our nation's security. Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

Required Skills:
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide in-depth experience in trouble‑shooting IT systems
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of system administration experience or fifteen (15) years' experience in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II level certification
