Job summary

Vibrint is seeking a System Administrator to advance HPC capabilities across multi‑vendor HPC servers and clusters. You will work with expert engineers, build robust computing environments, and support mission‑critical analysis in national security domains.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph and US citizenship, with responsibilities spanning OS hardening, system monitoring, and inter‑department coordination. Competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, OS and application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install
• Understanding of HPC architecture, high‑speed networks (InfiniBand, Slingshot)
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt and Ansible
• Proven troubleshooting skills across varied systems
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 5+ years of system administration, or 10 years in lieu of degree
• DoD 8570 IAT II level certification

Responsibilities

• Escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning

As a System Administrator on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi‑vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and advance Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Provide support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning

Qualifications

• Experience with OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, operating system and application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install
• Understanding of HPC architecture, knowledge of high‑speed networks such as InfiniBand, Slingshot
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible
• Proven troubleshooting skills - each system is slightly different and there's no "one fix" for a particular problem
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Minimum five (5) years of demonstratable system administration experience or ten (10) years minimum experience in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.
