Job summary

Innovative Systems & Solutions (ISSI) is seeking a Senior System Administrator (TS/SCI with Polygraph) in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The role focuses on implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT systems across client, server, storage, and network environments.

You will guide Tier 1–2 support, manage UNIX/Windows administration, and ensure reliable day-to-day operations for government and DoD projects.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of System Administrator experience in similar scope.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 additional SA years may substitute for a degree.
  • 5 additional Systems Engineering years may substitute.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex IT systems.
  • Experience with UNIX and Windows system administration.
  • Ability to manage daily IT operations and provide user support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Support escalation processes and communicate status updates to agency management and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain involvement in dispatch system and hardware issue resolution

About the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Substitutions:
  • 5 additional years of SA experience may substitute for a degree
  • 5 additional years of Systems Engineering experience may also substitute
  • Strong experience troubleshooting complex IT systems
  • Experience with UNIX and Windows system administration
  • Ability to manage daily IT operations and provide user support

Salary Range 170-175,000

The salary range provided is a general guideline. ISSI considers several factors when determining compensation, including the role’s responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
