Job summary

Innovative Systems & Solutions in Annapolis Junction, MD, is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support IT systems across client/server/storage/network environments for DoD and Federal customers. The role includes handling Tier 1/2 support, system maintenance, and performance enhancements to ensure reliable operations.

The ideal candidate will have a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, 10+ years of SA experience, and a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs of similar scope and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 additional years of SA experience may substitute for a degree.
  • 5 additional years of Systems Engineering experience may substitute.
  • Strong experience troubleshooting complex IT systems.
  • Experience with UNIX and Windows system administration.
  • Ability to manage daily IT operations and provide user support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Support escalation processes and communicate status updates to agency management and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain involvement in dispatch system and hardware issue resolution.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.

About the Role

The Senior System Administrator will support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Salary Range 170-175,000

The salary range provided is a general guideline. ISSI considers several factors when determining compensation, including the role’s responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
