Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator

Location: Remote - USA

Job Type: Contract

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Windows and Linux server environments, optimizing system performance, and supporting business continuity through robust backup and recovery strategies. You will also play a key role in securing infrastructure, implementing upgrades, and providing support and training to staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure server hardware and software.
• Manage Windows and Linux servers and related technology tools.
• Monitor system performance to ensure seamless and secure operations.
• Troubleshoot system issues identified through user reports or monitoring tools.
• Perform regular backups and maintain disaster recovery and failover procedures.
• Implement and manage security protocols including firewalls, access controls, and backups.
• Plan and execute system upgrades with new releases or hardware models.
• Train internal staff on new systems and technologies as needed.
• Build and maintain internal documentation including technical manuals and policies.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience with networks' physical and logical structures.
• 7 years of experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within server administration.
• 3 years of experience with Linux OS.
• 3 years of experience with Windows OS.
• 3 years of experience with Microsoft Teams Calling.
• 3 years of experience analyzing performance metrics and optimizing server performance.
• 3 years of experience analyzing system logs for troubleshooting purposes.

Preferred:

• 3 years of experience with Microsoft Teams Calling (also listed as required).
