Job summary

Hancock Whitney in New Orleans seeks a seasoned credit professional to lead syndicated loan underwriting, negotiations, and portfolio management as a key partner with Capital Markets and Relationship Managers. You will support facilities where the bank acts as Sole Lead Arranger, Left Lead Arranger, or Administrative Agent.

Responsible for due diligence, underwriting support, and ongoing risk monitoring across the life of the credit relationship, you will ensure consistent credit practices,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in commercial banking, credit underwriting, or portfolio management.
• Experience underwriting and managing syndicated credit facilities or large corporate credit relationships preferred.
• Experience with loan documentation, credit agreements, covenant compliance, and transaction execution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, underwrite, execute, and manage syndicated credit facilities.
• Lead syndication screening with due diligence, analysis, and approval materials.
• Conduct comprehensive credit analysis for new and existing syndicated transactions.
• Prepare credit recommendations and risk assessments for approval authorities.
• Coordinate lender diligence and share information via data rooms.
• Monitor portfolio risk, covenant compliance, and loan agreements.
• Support post-closing administration and amendments as needed.
• Maintain syndicated portfolio reporting and risk tracking.
