Job summary

SCTR Services LLC in the United States is hiring a Senior Symfony Developer to join our Engineering team. You’ll own backend architecture in Symfony/PHP, build polished full-stack features, and mentor junior developers while contributing to AI-powered tooling.

You will design scalable REST APIs, work with MySQL/PostgreSQL, Docker, and CI/CD, collaborate with product and marketing, and help shape technical decisions in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional PHP development experience with Symfony.
• Solid experience with Doctrine ORM, Security, and Forms.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and familiarity with API Platform.
• Proficient with MySQL/PostgreSQL and schema design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Symfony/PHP web applications with a focus on performance and code quality.
• Develop and iterate on RESTful APIs and frontend components.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and AI teams to translate requirements into features.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security across the stack.
• Lead sprint planning and contribute to technical roadmap discussions.
• Identify and address technical debt to drive sustainable growth.
