Job summary

ESS Metron, based in Denver, CO, is seeking a Switchgear Assembly Supervisor to oversee the assembly department’s operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical switchgear cabinets and involves managing the workflow to meet production goals efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in electrical manufacturing and supervisory roles, a strong grasp of UL standards, and effective leadership skills to foster a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Must have prior supervisory experience in assembly operations.
• Hands-on experience with Epicor ERP in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyze electrical schematics and production schedules.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assembly department operations and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop production schedules and prioritize assembly operations.
• Inspect equipment and optimize work cell efficiency.
• Track labor hours and maintain performance metrics.
• Conduct employee training on proper wiring techniques.

Skills

Electrical Technology degree or Journey-level experience

5+ years in electrical manufacturing/switchgear assembly

Strong knowledge of Low/Medium Voltage switchgear construction and UL standards

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

Strong real-time problem-solving skills

Excellent communication of technical instructions

Experience with Epicor ERP

Education
