Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Swiss CNC Programmer/Machinist to join a growing precision shop. You will setup, troubleshoot, and optimize Citizen, Star, and Tsugami Swiss-type CNC machines, producing high-tolerance aerospace and medical components.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Swiss machining expertise, strong GD&T understanding, and the ability to edit and optimize CNC programs while collaborating with engineering for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Swiss CNC machining experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Citizen, Star, Tsugami or similar Swiss-type CNC lathes.
• Strong setup and troubleshooting skills.
• Read blueprints and GD&T to ensure parts meet exact specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete machine setups on Swiss-style CNC lathes (Citizen, Star, Tsugami).
• Load tooling, set offsets, perform first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet spec.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T and customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixturing, and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Make program edits and adjustments at the machine to optimize performance.
• Monitor production runs and conduct in-process inspections with precision tools.
