Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Sr Software Engineer (Swift UI) in Austin to help build enterprise and employee experience tools. You will design multi-year architecture, drive engineering excellence, and mentor teams across macOS, iOS, and iPadOS platforms.

You will collaborate with leadership, shape strategy, and lead cross-functional reviews to ensure scalable, accessible experiences for thousands of Apple employees worldwide.

Qualifications

• Exceptional depth in Swift, SwiftUI, and Apple-platform architecture across macOS, iOS, and iPadOS.
• Proven ability to define and drive technical strategy across multiple application domains.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical quality of a team.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy and multi-year architecture roadmap for EEE's native application platform
• Lead the design and delivery of the team's most critical systems — high-quality, cross-platform applications that serve Apple employees globally
• Identify systemic engineering challenges and drive team-wide improvements in quality, reliability, accessibility, and developer productivity
• Shape how AI and platform interoperability are leveraged across the application portfolio — establishing patterns and best practices
• Serve as a technical authority in cross-functional design reviews, architecture forums, and strategic planning
• Mentor and develop engineers at all levels; accelerate their growth and broaden their technical impact
• Champion engineering excellence, accessibility, and inclusive design across the team's work
• Drive adoption of emerging Apple platform capabilities and AI technologies across the team's applications
• Engage with leadership to communicate technical vision, manage risk, and shape investment priorities
• Lead hiring efforts for engineering roles; define criteria and calibrate the technical bar
