Job summary

RemX | The Workforce Experts is seeking a Production Sweater Technical Designer to oversee the technical development of sweaters from concept through production. You will collaborate with Design and vendors to ensure fit, quality, construction, and brand standards are achieved.

You will create and maintain sweater tech packs, conduct fit sessions, and coordinate with domestic and overseas factories to resolve issues while maintaining precise documentation and revisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field.
• 5+ years of knitwear/sweater technical design experience.
• Strong knowledge of sweater construction, knitting techniques, yarns, and fit.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and tech pack creation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with international factories preferred.
• Centric PLM experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of sustainable knitwear practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain sweater tech packs, including yarn, stitch, construction, and measurement specs.
• Conduct fit sessions and provide sample comments and corrections.
• Partner with domestic and overseas factories to resolve technical issues.
• Review and approve development, pre-production, and production samples.
• Ensure consistency in fit, quality, and construction throughout production.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and revisions.
