Job summary

Amazon in Austin, TX is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to create a greenfield security review platform for the LLM era. You will design an event-driven system that evaluates code changes at high scale, routing the few that need human attention and auto-clearing the rest.

The role offers ownership of core architecture, collaboration with security engineers, and a chance to shape the roadmap from day one in a fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship software development experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Responsibilities

• Design and build the core of an event-driven platform that evaluates code changes for security risk
• Own significant technical decisions end to end: data flow, evaluation pipeline, service boundaries, storage
• Build and tune the automated evaluation layers, including agentic checks and scalable reliability
• Partner with the security team to define risk criteria and production code
• Work with security engineers to handle escalated changes and tooling for fast reviews
• Create a developer-facing experience with clear visibility into evaluation results
