Job summary

Amazon Security is building and operating secure, scalable internal tooling and platforms for rapid security response across AWS. We seek a software development leader who can drive architecture, mentor engineers, and deliver security-critical systems that scale with the business.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Own team-level architecture and design guidance for security response systems, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, extensible, and simple.
Lead projects requiring the coordinated work of multiple engineers, taking accountability for the design even when you don't author every component, maintaining a high security bar.
Take business problems where the technology strategy is undefined and drive clarity, making sound trade-offs between short-term delivery and long-term maintainability.
