Role: Lead environmental sustainability initiatives within biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations, focusing on impact reduction and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities: develop and implement scalable sustainability strategies, act as a technical expert, oversee projects on energy efficiency, resource optimization, waste reduction, and embed sustainability into capital projects and operations; establish data collection and KPI tracking processes; conduct environmental impact assessments; identify risks and stakeholder value; promote a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
Requirements: 7–10 years in sustainability or environmental/energy engineering, preferably within regulated biopharma manufacturing; Bachelor's in Engineering, Sustainability, or related field; experience leading multi-site projects and analyzing environmental data; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred: knowledge of biopharma manufacturing, certifications in sustainability or environmental engineering, experience with carbon accounting, lifecycle assessment, and management system standards (ISO 14001/50001).
Work setup: hybrid role with at least three days onsite; approximately 30-40% travel.
