Job summary

Ser e1n Bioscience, LLC is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead environmental compliance, sustainability, and management initiatives across R&D, lab, clinical and manufacturing environments.   • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of environmental engineering, compliance, or sustainability experience.
  • Experience with Oregon DEQ preferred.

Ser e1n Bioscience, LLC is a solid dosage pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead environmental compliance, sustainability, and environmental management initiatives in research and development, laboratory, clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing environments to ensure organizational operations meet regulatory requirements and corporate environmental objectives. This role provides technical leadership on complex environmental projects, oversees environmental programs, manages regulatory relationships, and drives continuous improvement efforts related to air quality, water resources, waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability performance.

  • Lead environmental compliance programs across multiple facilities.
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Develop and maintain environmental permits, licenses, and regulatory submissions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies and external auditors.
  • Provide technical expertise on environmental engineering projects and studies.
  • Lead environmental impact assessments, due diligence investigations, and remediation efforts.
  • Review engineering designs and operational changes for environmental compliance implications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and environmental professionals.
  • Establish environmental performance metrics and reporting systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve environmental performance while reducing operating costs.
  • Manage environmental projects from planning through execution and closeout.
  • Prepare budgets, schedules, scope documents, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate activities with operations, engineering, maintenance, and leadership teams.
  • Manage environmental consultants, contractors, and laboratory services.
  • Conduct environmental audits and corrective action programs.

  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance systems.
  • Experience managing complex environmental projects and regulatory interactions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental data management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years of environmental engineering, compliance, or sustainability experience.
  • Experience with Oregon DEQ preferred.
  • Combination of office, laboratory, manufacturing, and field environments.
  • Frequent site visits and occasional travel to support operations and regulatory activities.
  • May require work in varied weather conditions and operational settings.
