Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Sr Sustainability Analyst supports the Corporate Services’ organization for climate related measurement, management and reporting, as well as carbon neutral goal planning. This role is responsible for tracking progress and project managing the Sustainability department’s coordination of climate-related business strategies required to achieve Charter’s goal of carbon neutral in our operations by 2035. The Sr Sustainability Analyst will leverage our systems to support the evolution of dashboards and processes to track and report on progress to internal stakeholders, as well as research, prepare materials, and coordinate engagement of this significantly cross-functional work. With an intense focus on data integrity, process consistency and reporting accuracy, this role will deliver cost effective, operationally efficient, environmentally conscious and value-added sustainable reporting and practices within business operations.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Leverage technology, internal dashboards and processes to track and report on progress to individual business units including development of templates, standardized reports and scorecards.
  • Prepare management and leadership views of progress towards our carbon neutral goal across broader divisions and company-wide.
  • Provide support by conducting research, identifying best practices, support meetings and committees and presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across the organization to identify climate-related initiatives and prepare key data inputs needed for internal and external reporting.
  • Track return on investment from energy and carbon saving initiatives, including supporting preliminary analysis for business justification.
  • Support the completion of annual climate-related reporting.
  • Conduct benchmarking to help identify gaps, refine, and enhance processes within Charter’s sustainability department to incorporate into departmental strategy.
  • Manage and ensure Sustainability department is responsive to employee inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: ability to consolidate tabs from different spreadsheets, use existing formulas and functionality such as VLOOKUP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience using online content management and collaboration tools (i.e., SharePoint)
  • Familiarity and understanding of greenhouse gas emission accounting standards and guidelines

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental studies, Policy studies, Economics, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

  • Experience in managing projects with complex or nuanced data across cross-functional teams – 5+ years
  • Experience specific to greenhouse gas emissions, sustainability or related field – 2+ years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Experience using data visualization and dashboarding tools a plus (i.e., Tableau)
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications, technology and connectivity industries

Preferred Education

  • Certifications in sustainability, environmental or equivalent a plus
    Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years
  • Experience supporting climate-related program implementation and strategy a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Some travel required, primarily for sustainability related conferences

The base pay for this position generally is between $75,200.00 and $120,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
