Job summary

George F. Young, Inc. is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator to join our team in Florida. The role involves operating survey instruments and data collection equipment to determine precise locations, elevations, lines, and contours for construction and land development.

You will support the Crew Chief, work outdoors in varied weather, and may travel occasionally. The position requires at least 1 year of experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to travel from time to time.
• Experience with Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Construction Layout, & GPS Surveys.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work outdoors, in various weather and terrain conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year experience.

• Operate contemporary survey instruments with little supervision or training.
• Duties may differ depending on the area or project.
• Perform routine tasks and work closely under supervision.

This position will assist the Crew Chief and operate the necessary instruments while surveying to determine precise locations and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining, or other purposes by performing the following duties.

• Perform a variety of routine tasks and work closely under supervision


• Perform a variety of tasks in support of survey or engineering activities

Experience and Qualifications:
