Job summary

Landpoint in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Survey Technician III to advance our surveying team. The role emphasizes advanced field data work, analysis, and coordination with project managers to ensure precise deliverables.

You will lead data transfer, use Civil 3D and other surveying tools, mentor junior technicians, and interact with clients to report progress. A background in Geomatics and at least three years of technical surveying experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• The educational background in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of technical surveying experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, data processing, and reviewing final surveying deliverables.
• Proficiency with advanced surveying instruments and software.
• In-depth knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and procedures.
• Problem solving and organizational skills are necessary.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transfer, organization, processing, and analysis of field data with high data integrity.
• Coordinate with the project team on the development and review of the field package, field procedures, and general project lifecycle.
• Utilize advanced software and tools for data processing and analysis.
• Work closely with Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to learn how to analyze final boundary decisions.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced technicians.
• Assist Survey Technicians I & II in task assignments, work scheduling, and project coordination.
• Communicate with clients and project managers, ensuring requirements are met and progress is reported.
