Job summary

Massachusetts Port Authority is seeking a Manager, Survey Department, to lead a high-visibility unit across Massport facilities and infrastructure projects. You will oversee workforce planning, budgeting, staff development, and performance management, directing land-based, hydrographic, and aircraft obstruction surveying activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Working with internal departments and external partners, you will provide expert guidance on property boundaries and land rights,

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree required.
• 10–15 years land surveying experience with at least 5 in supervision.
• Massachusetts Registered Professional Land Surveyor license required.
• Knowledge of 250 CMR; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leads strategic and day-to-day Survey Unit operations, budgeting, and staff development.
• Directs land-based, hydrographic, and aircraft obstruction surveying activities.
• Partners with internal and external stakeholders to manage surveying matters.
• Provides expert leadership on property boundaries and land rights with testimony when needed.
