Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Senior Land Surveyor in Birmingham, AL. The candidate will support the Department Head in proposals, estimates, presentations, and recruiting processes while coordinating with clients and staff. Requires SIT license, 10+ years of surveying leadership, and Georgia PLS with broader licensure desirable.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Carlson, LiDAR/TopoDOT, Pix4D, and GDOT ORD is preferred. Relocation assistance and sign-on may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in land surveying.
• Must be Professional Land Surveyor licensed in Georgia; other states desirable.
• GDOT experience required.
• 10+ years managing survey projects.
• 8+ years hands-on land surveying.
• SIT license.
• Advanced AutoCAD and Carlson skills.
• LiDAR experience with TopoDOT and Pix4D a plus.
• GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design ORD desirable.
• GDOT SUE process knowledge desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Assist Department Head with proposals, estimates, and presentations.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients; manage budgets, schedules and resources.
• Proficiency with CAD, GIS, LTSto support surveys.
• Ensure compliance with survey regulations and Accura procedures.
• Lead pre-survey planning meetings with PMs and engineers.
• Maintain GDOT project experience.
• Oversee ALTA, boundaries, topography surveys.
• Coordinate with project teams and contractors.
