Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. seeks a Survey Design Technician 5 to design and draft survey drawings using AutoCAD for federal, state, and local approvals. You will work with a project-manager‑led team to ensure accuracy, timely delivery, and adherence to ISO-like standards across multiple jurisdictions.

You will review manuals and technical documents, prepare reports and sketches, and ensure designs meet project scopes and budgets while maintaining strong collaboration with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with a Highschool Diploma/GED; Minimum of 7 years of experience with an Associate’s Degree; Minimum of 6 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft survey drawings using AutoCAD for approvals by Federal, state, and local agencies.
• Work with a team of drafters under a project manager to support the practice.
• Review and interpret design manuals, technical documents, and local jurisdiction details.
• Prepare accurate technical reports, correspondence, calculations and sketches.
• Size and specify design requirements accurately.
