Job summary

Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, DPC is seeking an experienced full-time Survey AutoCAD Technician to join our Land Surveying Department in New York's Hudson Valley. The role supports survey and civil drawings and may accept candidates from our New York City office.

Essential duties include reducing field data, preparing survey plans, and creating maps using CADD methods, with collaboration across project managers and surveyors. Some site visits may be needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive AutoCAD drafting experience supporting Land Surveying and/or Civil Engineering projects.
• Experience preparing detailed survey drawings: boundary/topographic surveys, plans, profiles, cross sections.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2024 or newer required; Point Cloud drafting experience needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform reduction of survey field data, photographs, and sketches.
• Analyze field data to develop detailed technical survey plans and maps.
• Prepare boundary and topographic surveys, plans, cross sections, and profiles using CADD methods.
• Communicate with project managers and surveyors to modify drawings per specs.
• Print, copy, scan, and organize CADD drawings.
• Occasional site visits may be required.
