Job summary

Required are a surgical technology degree or diploma, 3-5 years of experience, and CST with BLS. TS-C is preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical Degree or Diploma in Surgical Technology (Required).
• Associates Degree in Surgical Technology (Preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience as a Surgery Tech (Required).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (Required).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (Required).
• TS-C (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub duties to assist physician during complex surgeries.
• Position instruments and supplies for surgeon as needed.
• Prepare room based on patient assignment using physician preference card.
• Assist the circulator with surgical counts and prep tasks.
• Prepare sutures and dressings for surgeon use.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and education.
• Serve as preceptor and mentor to new surgical techs.
• Maintain competency across multiple surgical specialties.
• Participate in department activities and resource management.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and customer service.
