Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• One of the following credentials: CST, Technologist in Surgery-Certified, Certified First Assistant - Certified Surgical Technologists, or LVN (CA).
• BLS CPR certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates superior knowledge and practice in the first scrub role.
• Understands supply costs and collaborates with team to balance quality of care with cost containment.
• Demonstrates superior knowledge of varied surgical equipment and instrumentation and ensures availability for each procedure.
• Assists in communication with Biomedical Services on equipment status and maintenance.
