Job summary

Providence is hiring a Surgical Technician at Covenant Medical Center in Texas. Responsibilities include maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments, sutures, and sponges, and assisting the nurse and first assist as needed.

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• 3 years of Experience as a certified surgical technician.

As a member of the surgical team, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Insures that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Performs in the role of second scrub and/or first assistant as needed. Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
