Job description

The primary duties of the Surgical Technician include: being prepared for and knowledgeable of the surgical procedure to be performed, setting up and maintaining a sterile field, anticipating and assisting the surgeon as necessary, working with the circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team, maintaining familiarity with, functioning in, and properly caring for all OR equipment and instruments. The Surgical Technician is responsible for the care of specimens and performs other related duties.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Surgical Tech program
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assistance upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of Operating Room experience
