Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka, CA is seeking a Senior Surgical Technician for Main Surgery.

This full-time role offers 8-hour day shifts and the opportunity to assist Surgeons during procedures, scrubbing and supporting patient care across ages. The ideal candidate will have accredited Surgical Technologist training (NCST/NCCT), CST certification, BLS, and at least 2 years of hospital-based experience; 5 years in a major service area is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proof of Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program NCST or NCCT.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 2 years of Hospital based Surgical Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• The Surgery Technician employs scrubbing responsibilities and assists the Surgeon during surgical intervention on patients of various ages.

Education

Surgical Technologist program completion (NCST/NCCT)

National Certified Surgical Technologist certification

BLS certification (American Heart Association)
