Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka, CA is seeking a full-time Surgical Technician for Main Surgery. The role supports the surgeon during operative procedures, performing scrubbing duties and ensuring patient safety during care.

Day shifts are standard in this 8-hour schedule. The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited Surgical Technologist program, be NBSTSA certified, and hold BLS credentials.

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program within 1 year of employment.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - NBSTSA required upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required upon hire.

The Surgery Technician employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills to perform scrubbing responsibilities and assists the Surgeon during surgical intervention on patients of various ages.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training:Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program within 1 year of employment. NCST or NCCT
• Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• OR experience.
