Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) West Campus OR is expanding to 5-OR suites and offers outpatient orthopedic/spine cases. The Certified Surgical Technologist II participates in sterile supply prep and direct patient care, under supervision, with emphasis on safety and procedural guidelines.

Shifts are 4-10 hour days, Monday through Friday, no nights or major holidays, with late shifts needed to finish cases. Prior OR experience and accredited surgical technology training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or surgical technology military program is required.
• Two years of work experience in an operating room setting is required for Level II.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures.
• Perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care.
• Follow established procedural guidelines and care standards in the OR.
• Support both scrub and circulate roles as assigned.
