Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking an Environmental Services Worker III to perform advanced cleaning, sanitation, and facility maintenance in a hospital setting, with expertise in floor care, waste management, infection control, and specialized cleaning procedures. The role may also involve training new staff and overseeing complex cleaning assignments.

This position includes OR cleaning responsibilities and requires 2-4 years of environmental services experience; the schedule is PRN with evenings

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of environmental services or healthcare facility maintenance experience.
• CHEST or CHESP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and deep-cleaning.
• Handles hazardous and infectious waste per OSHA and hospital policies.
• Executes terminal cleaning and disinfection in high-risk areas (OR, ICU).
• Trains and mentors new staff on cleaning techniques and infection control.
• Assists with special cleaning projects and emergency response cleaning.
