U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Supervisory Supply Technician at the VA Boston Healthcare System—West Roxbury Campus in West Roxbury, MA or Jamaica Plain Campus in Jamaica Plain, MA.

The role directs and supervises the primary inventory point, coordinating receipt, storage and distribution of supplies for clinical and administrative areas of the medical center. The position requires a current driver's license, specialized experience at the GS-6 level, and the ability to lead

Qualifications

Driver's license required; state-issued license
Specialized experience equivalent to GS-6 level with duties in coordinating work, prioritizing, overseeing receipt and distribution of supplies
Experience training new employees and answering questions on local processes and procedures; ensuring proper storage and handling of supplies

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise the primary inventory point for the medical center.
Ensure distribution of supplies to all logistics areas served by the department.
Oversee receipt, storage and issue of supplies and materials for clinical and administrative service areas.
Train new employees and provide guidance on local logistics processes and procedures.
Ensure proper storage, monitor expiration dates, and deliver supplies timely.
