Job summary

Simple Mills is seeking a Sr Supply Planner to join our Chicago-based Supply Chain team. You will develop and optimize supply plans, interact with co‑manufacturers, and influence production timelines for new items while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

You will collaborate across functions, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to the S&OP process with actionable insights to mitigate risks and improve service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Strong analytical capabilities with complex data work experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop supply plans to maintain optimal finished-goods inventory to meet fill-rate targets.
• Communicate production plans, issue POs, and forecast with co-manufacturers.
• Support new item launches with cross-functional teams and manage production timelines.
• Maintain constrained production plans and proactively align capacity with demand.
• Identify risks, communicate impacts on service levels, and mitigate issues.
• Collaborate on S&OP with demand planning and provide supply insights.
• Lead scenario analyses and establish inventory targets with cross-functional teams.
