Ecotal in the United States is seeking its first dedicated Senior Supply Chain Manager to build the function from the ground up. You will own strategic sourcing for custom components and hardware, partnering with engineering from design through production to shape cost, quality and supplier strategy.
You’ll lead RFQs, partner with suppliers on DFM and cost-down initiatives, develop should-cost models and establish sourcing processes.
We’re working with a high-growth energy technology company developing a new approach to utility-scale power. As the company moves its first-of-a-kind hardware technology from prototype toward production, they’re looking to bring on their first dedicated supply chain hire.
This is an opportunity to build the supply chain function from the ground up while working directly with engineering and leadership on how the product is designed, sourced, manufactured and ultimately scaled.
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Supply Chain Manager who combines strong strategic sourcing experience with a technical understanding of engineered hardware.
This person will own sourcing across custom components and assemblies, working directly with engineering from early design and prototype stages through production. You’ll help determine how components should be manufactured, where they should be sourced, what they should cost and how the supplier base needs to evolve as the company scales.
This is not a traditional purchasing, logistics or materials-planning role. The focus is heavily on strategic sourcing, supplier development and engineering-led cost reduction.
As the first dedicated supply chain hire, you’ll also have significant ownership over building the processes, tools and supplier infrastructure needed to support future growth.
The ideal candidate has personally owned strategic sourcing within a complex hardware or manufacturing environment and is comfortable working directly with technical engineering teams.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience across:
Experience within aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, robotics, industrial equipment or other complex hardware environments would translate particularly well.
Engineering backgrounds are also relevant where the individual has transitioned into true commercial sourcing ownership, including RFQs, supplier selection, cost analysis and negotiations.
This is an opportunity to join at a point where the supply chain function is still being built. You’ll have significant influence over supplier strategy, manufacturing decisions and how the company takes its technology from early hardware builds into scaled production.
For someone who enjoys being close to the hardware, working directly with engineers and having the autonomy to build rather than inherit an established supply chain organization, this role offers a lot of ownership and visibility.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. This position is not eligible for employment sponsorship
