Job summary

Ecotal is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead the first dedicated supply chain hire for a fast-growing energy hardware company. Based in Laramie, WY or Orange County, CA, with regular travel to Wyoming, this in-person role relos if needed.

You will drive sourcing, supplier strategy, and cost-down efforts from design through production. You will work closely with engineering to manage BOMs, lead times, and capacity planning, moving hardware from prototype through to manufacturing while

Qualifications

• 7+ years of supply chain or procurement experience within physical hardware.
• Experience with low-volume, custom or engineered-to-order components.
• Strong strategic sourcing, RFQ and supplier negotiation experience.
• Experience taking hardware from prototype / NPI through production.
• Comfortable working directly with engineering, including BOMs and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own long-lead sourcing and supplier strategy from concept to production.
• Lead cost-down initiatives and commercial negotiations with suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineering to take hardware from prototype to manufacturing.

We're working with a fast-growing energy technology company that is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to become the first dedicated supply chain hire on the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked in a hardware startup or fast-paced engineering environment and wants to build a supply chain function rather than inherit an established one.

You’ll work closely with engineering to take first-of-a-kind hardware from design through procurement and production, owning everything from long-lead sourcing and supplier strategy to cost-down initiatives and commercial negotiations.

What they’re looking for:

• 7+ years of supply chain or procurement experience within physical hardware
• Experience with low-volume, custom or engineered-to-order components
• Strong strategic sourcing, RFQ and supplier negotiation experience
• Experience taking hardware from prototype / NPI through production
• Comfortable working directly with engineering, including BOMs and technical drawings
• Experience with long-lead procurement, supplier capacity and production planning
• Strong cost modeling, should-cost and cost-down experience
• Experience negotiating supply agreements and commercial terms
• Aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, heavy equipment or similar hardware backgrounds are highly relevant
• Someone hands-on who is comfortable building processes, systems and supplier relationships from the ground up
