Columbia Search Partners, Inc. is partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturing startup in Orange County, California, to hire a Senior Supply Chain Manager / Procurement Chaos Coordinator.

You will own direct and indirect procurement, design demand planning, and drive inventory and budgeting systems in a fast-paced environment. You will negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and work closely with the COO, CEO, engineering, and operations to build a scalable supply chain capable of

Senior Supply Chain Manager / Procurement Chaos Coordinator

My client is a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing startup serving some of the most demanding engineering-driven industries on the planet. They need someone who can walk into procurement chaos, make sense of it, build the systems, and eventually create something magnificent.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take ownership of direct and indirect procurement
• Build demand planning, inventory, budgeting, and purchasing systems
• Hunt shortages before they become five-alarm fires
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and capital purchases
• Make suppliers behave. Find better ones when necessary.
• Help engineering get what they need without creating an obstacle course
• Build a supply chain capable of surviving serious growth
• Be equally comfortable building the three-year roadmap and chasing down a missing shipment at 4:47 p.m.

About You

• You can actually do the job described above
• You feel strangely at home in startups, ambiguity, and rooms containing suspiciously blank whiteboards
• You can set the strategy and still happily cut a PO when Tuesday gets weird
• You understand manufacturing supply chains and what happens when materials do not show up
• You are comfortable working across procurement, suppliers, inventory, planning, engineering, and operations
• You have experience building processes instead of simply inheriting them
• Bonus points if ITAR, AS9100, aerospace, defense, composites, or other regulated manufacturing environments already feel familiar
• You experience a small involuntary eye twitch when someone says, “That’s how we’ve always done it.”

This is an on-site role in Orange County, California.
