Job summary

Simmons seeks a Senior Director, Supply Chain (Poultry) to lead the global supply chain activities, directing production planning, capacity planning, and logistics for the business unit. The role ensures alignment with demand plans, capacity utilization, and cost efficiency across facilities.

You will oversee long- and short-term planning, guide the department, and drive LEAN initiatives while partnering with facilities and functions to optimize performance. This is an on-site leadership role.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain/Logistics with senior management responsibilities.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking in production planning and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Oversees rolling 24-month production forecast and converts sales forecast into a viable production plan.
• Manages short-term production planning for multiple facilities and coordinates with Demand Planning.
• Leads the monthly supply review as part of the S&OP process with inventory considerations.
• Develops the supply chain department and mentors staff, aligning with company values.
• Determines appropriate finished goods inventory levels by SKU based on forecast demand.
• Directs employees, hires/coaches, and collaborates with HR on performance actions.
• Promotes teamwork and implements best practices to achieve efficiency.
• Travels within North America to visit facilities as needed.
• Familiar with LEAN and Simmons operating systems and policies.
