Job summary

Proper Voltage is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to own and build the proactive supplier quality function for hardware programs. You will drive qualification audits, PPAP, APQP, and supplier scorecards across mechanical, electrical, and cell suppliers, coordinating with engineering, sourcing, and CM quality teams.

You have 8+ years in supplier quality with hands-on manufacturing experience, and you can lead investigations, CAPAs, and containment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in supplier quality or a hybrid role with direct supplier development ownership.
• Industrial/Manufacturing engineering background with factory floor experience.
• Direct experience building or scaling supplier quality programs (PPAP, APQP, audits, scorecards).
• Hands-on discipline tools (SPC, DMAIC, control plans, RCAs) applied to real problems.
• Experience in CM-based manufacturing models with direct supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Design and run supplier qualification across mechanical, electrical, and cell suppliers, including PPAP and first article inspection.
• Lead APQP with suppliers on new product introductions in collaboration with engineering and sourcing.
• Establish and manage supplier audit calendar and corrective actions until closure.
• Build and run supplier scorecards to drive development conversations.
• Lead supplier development projects and partner with CM quality on line quality.
