Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Texas is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Management professional to define and drive quality assurance with suppliers, ensuring conformance to codes and regulations.

You will lead supplier audits, support development, and apply data-driven methods like SPC and Six Sigma to reduce variation and improve delivery performance. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and procurement to establish CAPA, review vendor QA plans, and resolve quality issues at supplier sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; 3 years of engineering/manufacturing/QA experience.
• 3 years in supplier development to improve customer satisfaction.
• 3 years in quality engineering.
• 3 years in data-driven analytics for industrial quality (SPC, Six Sigma, CP/PP analysis).
• Experience with RCA methodologies: Kaizen, 8-D, 5-Why, etc.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop quality assurance programs to ensure conformance to codes and regulations.
• Conduct supplier audits and inspections for system and product conformance to quality requirements.
• Develop and support suppliers to achieve conformance with company requirements and continual improvement in quality.
• Perform quality surveillance at supplier manufacturing site and supply quality issue resolution, including supplier claims preparation.
• Review purchase orders and specifications for proper quality requirements.
• Provide technical advice in specialized quality assurance technology such as nondestructive testing (NDT), metrology, SPC, etc.
• Participate in the investigation of technical problems and establishment of CAPA to avoid recurrences.
