Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee supplier quality activities, from raw materials to contract manufacturers, ensuring compliance with contract and PO requirements.

You will collaborate with internal program quality, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing, perform supplier assessments and audits, and drive corrective actions to maintain quality standards across sub-tier suppliers; travel about 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Procure-to-Pay or SAP.
• Experience in one of the following disciplines: Quality Engineering, Systems Engineering, Materials Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proficient in ERP & Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start and ultimately obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%.
• Must be a U.S Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and report on supplier quality activities across materials and suppliers.
• Ensure control of supplier nonconforming items and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Collaborates with internal program quality, engineering, supply chain management, and manufacturing functions and external suppliers to ensure quality standards.
• Perform source surveillance audits, supplier assessments, and validation of special process audits and selection of sub-tier suppliers.
• Prepare, maintain and review procurement quality assurance procedures to meet customer/government requirements.
