Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a remote role with substantial travel (~50%). You will evaluate supplier performance, lead root-cause analyses, and drive process improvements across the supply chain in aerospace-focused environments.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to ensure quality requirements for new product introductions and transitions are met, with emphasis on PFMEA, AS9100/ISO9001, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Technology, or related technical discipline.
• Typically 2 to 4 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Aerospace experience preferred but not essential.
• Familiar with PFMEA, AS9102 FAIRs, control plans
• Knowledge of quality tools and measurement methodologies; GD&T and measurement systems analysis for machined components
• Experience RCCA processes using 8D, Fishbone, 5 whys
• Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 and auditing practices
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management; ability to work with suppliers to achieve goals
• Must manage multiple suppliers and build relationships; improve PPM and OTD
• Ability to influence suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality performance for assigned suppliers by evaluating quality metrics, monitoring compliance, and driving improvements in product and process quality.
• Lead investigations of supplier-related quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve supplier performance and reduce risk.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and qualification activities to evaluate manufacturing capability, process controls, and compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
• Partner with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to support new product introductions, supplier transitions, and process changes while ensuring quality requirements are achieved.
• Analyze supplier quality data and trends to identify risks, recommend improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
